EARLY INTERVENTION CENTRE
The Early Intervention Centre of Kongu Arivalaya Trust was started in the year 2007. The current strength of the centre is 50. The age group of the children is from 0 to 6 years. The following training is provided at the Early Intervention Centre:
SPECIAL EDUCATION AND TRAINING CENTRE
The Special Education and Training Centre was started in the year 1987. The current strength of the centre is 135. The students are trained according to their IQ levels. Many awareness programmes are conducted at this centre for Anganwadi workers, nursing and medical students, social workers, and the general public. VOCATIONAL TRAINING CENTRE
The Vocational Training Centre of Kongu Arivalaya Trust was started in the year 2012. The current strength of the centre is 40. The students are trained in different jobs and are placed in several companies. The following training is provided at the Vocational Training Centre:
Nearly about 150 beneficiaries are being benefited in our school. Trained teachers 1:8 ratio are engaged to achieve the goals of education and training etc., to make the challenged children hopefully to live with others in their locality. The beneficiaries are classified into three levels depending upon the mental age. Individualized planning programme are set out for all the children. In the pre-school level self-helf skills are being taught. In the elementary level application of reading, writing number , time and money concept are being taught. In the high school level community orientation and pre-vocational training are being given to meet the day to day life skills. The trained students are placed in private companies based on their efficiency.
